Presentation drawings for time capsule

Due to the fact that this time capsule project is a textured sphere, the orthographic drawing is very simple if not boring. The dimensions at the bottom are a little cut off because of the paper size; it wouldn't all fit in the scanner.

These are pretty strait forward. Drawings of the context in which the time capsule will be seen; where it will be placed. In this case it will go on the second floor next to the water fountain outside room 204.

Layout Assignment

This project gives a very negative impression of my first semester. This is certainly not the case, I enjoyed this class very much and love to draw. I just was not really in the mood to draw to say the very least. This and I found no intrigue with the subject or assignment, and thus could not be very passionate about it. As I said in the caption, it is during times like these that all my abilities just leave me.

Drawings from class on Tuesday

This one is Karis.

This is Zach.

Time capsule model sketches 2

This is my shading assignment with a little more contrast. As I said earlier, the spherical one is made of black matboard... damn near impossible to see any shadow or value on it, thus most of the shade and form had to be improvised.

time capsule model sketches

The round model was all black matboard so there was absolutely no shadow or shine on it regardless of the light I used or at least that's how it seemed, I was clueless how to add value.

shading practice assignment

These are the best of my shading excercises.

This is the cap for my pencil sharpener sitting next to a pile of nerds.

I gave Liz that bullet.
